WEB SITE

A collection of web pages related to each other by a certain topic is known as a
website. A website is created by an organization or a person to give information
about a particular topic, person, product or organization. Moving from one website
to another on the net is known as net surfing or browsing. Websites are stored on
web servers located all over the world.
Gmail.com, amazon.com, facebook.com are different websites, each with different types
of content.

HOME PAGE

A home page is the first page you see when you enter a website. The home page is linked
to all the other of the website.                                                   

URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
Each website has an address which is called its URL. The URL refers to the address of

WEB BROWSER

To use the Internet you require a software called a Web Browser to be present on your
computer. A web browser allows you to read the web pages on the World wide Web. when you
read the web pages on the World wide Web using a web browser it is called Browsing the
net. The Internet Explorer is the default Windows browser. Netscape Navigator is another
popular browser.
