The word computer software refers to the various kinds of programs that help us to
work on the computer. It is the software that gives life to the hardware and enables
it to do our work. Different kinds of software make it possible for us to use the
computer for doing a variety of tasks including writing letters, sending e-mails,
chatting over the internet, making TV and animation programs, keeping records,
designing houses and machines, controlling manufacturing processes and satellites,
forecasting the weather at a place etc. We can't touch the software.
