The history of Internet is an interesting one.
Starting from a few users it now has millions of users all over the world. Once you
are on net, you are a part of this huge group.
The foundation of the Internet was laid in the 1960s in the United States America.
The first network ARPAnet. (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) ARPAnet was
created by the US Department of Defense to connect the computers of the US Defense
and US universities. The ARPAnet was joined by the NSFnet (National Science Foundation-
-Network) in the 80s and linked further to other private networks, to allow commercial
and governmental activities. This growing network ultimately formed the Internet.
